Privacy
Vinay Koshy, trading as Sproutworth (ABN 15 726 359 627), runs StarsBack. This page says what we collect, why, and who sees it.
If you're a StarsBack customer (a business owner)
We keep:
- your name, business name, email, mobile and state,
- your Google business listing, and your public Google reviews with the replies you've posted,
- your subscription status. Stripe holds your card details. We never see or store them.
We use these to run the service: to send your review requests, watch your reviews, draft replies and email or text them to you, and bill you.
If a business sent you a review request
We keep:
- the first name, mobile or email the business gave us,
- when we sent the message and whether it was delivered, and
- whether you opted out.
We use this only to send that business's review request, stop duplicates, and honour your opt-out. We don't sell it, we don't market to you, and other businesses never see it.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any StarsBack text and you won't get review requests from any business that uses StarsBack. Reply START to undo it. Every review request email has an unsubscribe link.
The free review check
The free review check stores the public Google listing data you look up and the result for 90 days, then deletes it. Our database doesn't store your IP address.
Counting visits to this site
We count page visits, button clicks and form starts on starsback.com so we can see what works. We don't use cookies or outside analytics, and we don't store your IP address. A random number kept in your browser tab groups 1 visit's clicks together, and it's gone when you close the tab.
Who else handles the data
We use these services to run StarsBack, and some of them store data outside Australia:
- Cloudflare (hosting and email)
- Twilio (text messages)
- Stripe (payments)
- DataForSEO (reading public Google reviews)
- Anthropic (writing reply drafts: the review text and your business name are sent to draft a reply)
Access and correction
Email hello@starsback.com to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. We'll reply within 30 days. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
