It's in their terms. Podium asks for "written notice of non-renewal at least thirty (30) days before the end of the then-current Subscription Term". Birdeye asks for written notice "at least 90 days prior to the date of renewal". Miss the date and you're in for another year.

What does it cost?
A$99 a month including GST for review requests, review watching and reply drafts. No setup fee and no per-message charge. You can send up to 50 requests a day.
Does it answer my phone?
Not yet. Missed-call answering is coming next. Tick the box when you sign up and we'll tell you when it's ready for your number.
Can it text customers whose quotes I didn't win?
Not yet. It's coming next, and we'll check each contact is OK to text before anything goes.
I'm on a Podium or Birdeye contract. When can I switch?
Check your renewal date and notice period first, because most contracts need written notice before renewal. Send that notice in writing and keep a copy. Then sign up a few days before your old tool ends so you don't miss any jobs.
Does it post replies without me?
No, we draft each reply and send it to you, and you post it on Google yourself. Once you've replied to a few reviews, drafts follow your style. Change the draft, or ignore it.
My job software already sends review requests.
Then keep using it if it goes out after every job, and use StarsBack only if it doesn't, or if you want your replies drafted. It's worth checking: Jobber's help page (updated 18 August 2026) lists its Reviews feature for the US, Canada and Great Britain, not Australia.
How do I cancel?
Email cancel@starsback.com from your account email and tap the link we send back. No phone call and no notice period. Your service runs to the end of the month you paid for, and we never charge you again.
Ask every customer, answer every review, and leave whenever you like.
