Birdeye pricing and contract terms, and a A$99 alternative

Birdeye doesn't publish a price on its pricing page. Its terms say an agreement renews for the same length as the first term unless you give written notice at least 90 days before renewal, and payments are non-cancellable and non-refundable. StarsBack sends the Google review ask after each job and drafts your replies for A$99 a month including GST. It's month to month, and you cancel by email.

What Birdeye's terms say

These are Birdeye's own words, from its terms and conditions. The Australian and global pages say the same.

"any agreement for Services will auto renew for the same period of time as the initial term of the agreement unless written notice of non-renewal is provided to BirdEye at least 90 days prior to the date of renewal."
"all payment obligations under any and all Order Forms or Statements of Work are non-cancellable and all payments made are non-refundable."

Your own order form can set different terms, so check it.

How to switch without paying twice

  1. Find your renewal date in your Birdeye order form.
  2. Give written notice at least 90 days before that date, as the terms say. Keep proof that it arrived.
  3. Start StarsBack in your last month on Birdeye. It's month to month, so you aren't signing up past that.
  4. Before you do, check your Google reviews at no cost, so you know where you stand.

What StarsBack does, and what it doesn't

It does

  • Send your customer a Google review link by text or email after each job, from your phone in about 30 seconds.
  • Check your Google reviews every 6 hours.
  • Draft a reply to each new review for you to post.
  • Draft replies for every unanswered review from the last 12 months, within 48 hours of confirming your Google listing.

It doesn't

  • Do listings, social posting, chatbots or surveys. If you use Birdeye for those, StarsBack won't replace them.

Questions owners ask

How much does Birdeye cost?

Birdeye doesn't publish a price. Its pricing page asks for your details instead of showing a number. Ask for the figure in writing and check your order form. StarsBack is A$99 a month including GST, with no setup fee.

How do I cancel Birdeye?

Birdeye's terms ask for written notice of non-renewal at least 90 days before your renewal date. Send it in writing and keep proof that it arrived.

Can I stop paying Birdeye before my term ends?

Birdeye's terms say payment obligations under an order form are non-cancellable and payments are non-refundable. Your order form may say something different, so check it.

Does StarsBack post replies for me?

No. We draft each reply and send it to you, and you post it on Google yourself.

My job software already asks for reviews.

Keep it if it asks after every job. StarsBack still checks Google every 6 hours and drafts your replies.
